MoSiCo : les équipes de la SONELEC sont sur le terrain, pour relever le réseau électrique

MoSiCo project: collection teams are in the field!

After a few days of training and awareness-raising, four technical teams from SONELEC have been out in the field over the past few weeks, mapping the Medium Voltage network of Grande Comore and Anjouan. Their mission is to record the precise geographical position of each element of the network, as well as their technical characteristics: nominal power of transformers, cable cross-section, type of poles, etc. This is an essential first step in the creation of a consolidated database of the Comoros electricity network!

At the same time, mapping of a number of critical low-voltage networks has also begun. This mission is being carried out by the Comorian mapping company Toping.

The MoSiCo project is the winner of the Digital Energy Challenge, organised by AFD – Agence Française de Développement and financed by the L’Union Européenne (UE) and ADEME. Find out more about all the winning projects.
