It’s here! After months of preparation, the MoSiCo project – Modelling and Simulation of the Comoros electricity network – is officially underway!
🇰🇲🇫🇷 MoSiCo is a project led by Roseau Technologies, SONELEC (Société Nationale d’Électricité des Comores) and AETS.
🎯The aim? To enable SONELEC teams to carry out network sizing studies on the islands of Grande Comores and Anjouan: connection of new uses, reinforcements, as well as master plans, etc.
⌛ First of all, the SONELEC teams are going to go over the network to map it. From the data collected, Roseau Technologies will be able to proceed with modelling, i.e. producing a digital copy of the network, suitable for electrical simulation. Finally, Roseau Technologies will supply the network simulation software and train the SONELEC teams in its use. The mapping phase should begin in a few days’ time, as soon as the first GPS units are received.
MoSiCo is the winner of the Digital Energy Challenge, organised by AFD – Agence Française de Développement and financed by the European Union (EU) and ADEME.
